Rendering citations in Astro

This post exists to prove the academic pieces of the site work end to end — no Quarto in the loop for lightweight content.

Citations

The site renders Pandoc-style citation keys against a BibTeX file. Bioconductor gave genomics a coherent computational ecosystem (Huber et al., 2015), and the Gene Expression Omnibus remains a cornerstone public archive (Barrett et al., 2013). Both references resolve to a formatted bibliography below, generated by rehype-citation using the APA style.

Math

Inline math like E=mc2E = mc^2 and display math both render via KaTeX:
